Tiddly Treats

Hi all, this time I have a little mass production project to show you. It was my youngest stepdaughter's birthday last Sunday, so of course the children in her class and her teachers got a birthday treat. I made the boxes for the teachers, it's a design by Sam Hammond Donald and you can find it by typing in "Pootles hexagonal box" in Google. Super easy to make and a great result every time!

Of course I also used a cutie by Tiddly Inks, a digital stamp named School Girl (very apt I thought!). Paper is by Stampin' Up! as are the ribbons, flower punch and little gem. The digital stamp was coloured using Copics.

Hope you have a great weekend, thanks for stopping by!

Happy crafting,
Erica

Time For An Update!

Hi all, hope you're well!! I've been very busy these last few months, setting up house and looking after my family, including two of the loveliest, cutest stepdaughters there ever were and the sweetest guy in the world, that I haven't really had time for an update. I have had time to make some cards and stuff, because my stepdaughters luuuuuurve to craft, and it's one of the things we enjoy doing together :D

I honestly couldn't tell you what materials and Copic colours I used, I'll try to do better next time...

Thank you for stopping by, hope to be back again soon with some more crafties!

Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities Classic Circles and Scalloped Circles; QuicKutz dies; wooden tea box from Xenos

Right, I'm going to make a card or something other than a box this weekend and show you next week, I promise!! Thank you for stopping by!

Diet News and Congratulations

First of all, I want to thank you for your compliments about my weight loss, they are much appreciated! Now, some of you wanted to know how I managed to lose 40 kgs...I did this using a protein-based diet (MediSlank) and under firm supervision of a dietician. For those of you who do not have a dietician nearby that works with this product, the diet can also be followed online.

Go to www.sanadoe.nl for more information, the webshop with products and the TLC of Klaas and Ingrid, who will not only help you, guide you and cheer you on, but who also send the products out free of shipping (Netherlands only!)

Now, onto my card for today! I made this for my dear friend Moon, whose birthday it is today. Assuming she's received the card I can show it to you now ;o).

Isn't this Magnolia image just precious? Some of the things I used on the card I've had for years, such as the flowers and the button, which just goes to show you should never throw anything away
(though you may need to move to a bigger house eventually ;o))

Card Ingredients:
Stamps: Magnolia; sentiment by My Favorite Things
Paper: Bazzill Basics cardstock blue; Elzybells Art stamps cardstock kraft; Authentique paper
Embellishments: Rayher butterflies, Zva Creative pearl swirls; Prima Marketing flowers; Doodlebug button; Karen Foster scrapper's floss; Queen & Co pearls

I have since added the adoption date underneath her name.

Stamp: Mo Manning digital stamp
Paper: Bazzill Basics cardstock pink, white
Embellishments: Bazzill Basics stickers; Zva Creative pearl swirls and pearls; Karen Foster scrapper´s floss; ribbon

Time For An Update!

Hi everyone, I see that blogger has been busy in my absence and changed just about everything, so I hope I can get this post up ;o)

Been a bit quiet these last six months, but I have been undergoing a personal transformation and haven't been doing any card-making at all! I have gone from this:

to this:

A weight loss of 40 kg in eight months. So I have been completely self-involved, selfish, self-centered and oh yes, I have been shopping a lot ;o)!

Anyway, last week I got bitten by the crafting bug again, so expect some new things soon! Hope you've all been well, have a great weekend and thank you for stopping by!

Merry Christmas & A Happy New Year!!!

Well here it is, Christmas Eve! Did I make any Christmas cards this year? Yes, I think two or three...and I haven't even gotten around to sending them yet! Very ashamed, must do better next year; but then I say that every year ;o). It's nice to know that some things never change right!

Anyway, sorry I've been AWOL recently, I've been busy losing a ton of weight, shopping, some more shopping and oh yes, shopping :D! I love buying new clothes and shoes and basically becoming a different person, so card-making has been relegated to the bottom of the list for now, but I'll be back in the new year!

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and happiness, good health and lots of luck for the New Year!

Erica

Simply Sassy Thursday

Hi everyone, hope you're well! I had to swap Simply Sassy days with Maria Therese because I was teaching a workshop on Saturday and didn't have the energy left to make a card on Sunday...imagine that, must be getting old ;o). For today's card I've used

which is out of stock at the moment, but will no doubt be back soon! I have used only browns and a bit of red to colour on kraft and I'm fairly happy with the result :D. My apologies for the truly awful picture, but it's been fog, fog and more fog here the last few weeks (I've literally got my head in the clouds, walking on air, that kind of stuff ;o)) and it shows in the pictures!

Card Ingredients:

Stamp: Simply Sassy "Domestic Goddess"
Paper: Bazzill Basics cardstock; Maja Design design paper "Vintage Winter"
Embellishments: Zva Creative pearl swirls; Kars adhesive pearls; charm; Papertrey Ink ribbon
Tools: EK Success Retro Flower punches; My Favorite Things Dienamics border; Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels Eighteen

That's all from me for now, I'll see you on Sunday for some more Sassiness, have a great week!

Simply Sassy Release Blog Hop!

It is time for another Simply Sassy Blog Hop, as today sees the release of a whole new set! Now, if you've come from the amazingly talented Elaine's blog then you're on the right track! If you haven't or if you're just joining us, please head to the Simply Sassy Inspiration Blog to start the hop ;o)

I'm so excited to be able to introduce you to Book Club, isn't she the cutest nerd EVER!!! Now I knew this card was missing something, I just couldn't put my finger on what it was...until I put it up in my post just now and saw that I forgot to put the buttons on the flower centres :o(. I'll update it tomorrow for a more complete look ;o).

This image can be used for so many things, such as a gift card (for a book...or something ;o)), a back to school card, a door hanger for a studious little girl, a bookmark etc. etc.

I have used Maja Design papers, My Favorite Things Die-namics doily, flowers and leaves, the sentiment is by Stamping Bella, the pearls are from Kars and the background stamp is from Stempelglede. The Copic colours are: E00, E51, E93, E21 (skin, cheeks, lips), E44, E43, E42, E41 (browns), R29 (red).

Okay, onto the important stuff: for this blog hop I get to give away the Simply Sassy stamp that I used on my card to one lucky winner! All you have to do to be in with a chance to win is:

Leave a comment at every stop on the blog hop, you have until 12.00 noon GMT (CET -1 hr) on Monday 21 November to do so!

I will pick a winner from all the comments and post the winner's name in my blog that evening, so be sure to check back then!

You can find Book Club over at Funky Kits, where they have an amazing deal for the release weekend: when you buy the whole set, which you can get at the usual amazing price of six for the price of five, you also get the limited edition stamp for free (this stamp will only be included in the set this weekend and will not be sold individually)! So that's seven stamps and you only pay for five, that's what I call getting into the Christmas spirit :D!

Next up on the blog hop is the fabulous Alina, so hop on over and see what amazing creation she has in store for you! Have a great Sassy day ;o)!

Hugs,
Erica

Simply Sassy Sunday

Helloooo! Hope you're having a fantabulous Sunday and you didn't forget to put your clocks back one hour, it's lovely having a whole extra hour of weekend isn't it :D! For my card today I have used the scrumptious

Sundae Service

I wasn't at all happy with the last card I made with this beauty, so she's been used for a retry ;o). Also, I got the new set in the other day and let me tell you: more scrumptiousness is on the way!!! So start saving them pennies, thank goodness Christmas is coming up right ;o)

I have used lots of die-cuts on this card and little else, as the busy paper combined with the die-cuts and the flowers make for a pretty full card I think. Also, I'm not one for "throwing" everything I have at a card and see what sticks, some people carry that off brilliantly but I'm not blessed with that talent ;o).

Card Ingredients:
Stamp:
Simply Sassy "Sundae Service"
Paper: Bazzill Basics and Elzybells Art Stamps cardstock; My Mind's Eye paper "Be Loved"
Embellishments: My Mind's Eye die-cut sheet; Kars adhesive pearls
Tools: Marianne Design frond; QuicKutz flowers
Copics:
E00, E51, E93, E21 (skin, cheeks)
Y28, E53, E50 (hair)
BG15, BG13, BG11, BG10 (blues)
R29, R27 (reds)
R22, R21 (pinks)

Enjoy your day and thanks for stopping by, see you soon!

Hugs,
Erica

And Again...

Sorry I've been AWOL, I've been a little too busy with other stuff to update my blog. But I do have lots to show you today :D! First of all my Simply Sassy Sunday card, a Christmas one this time, as it's now October and I have precisely one finished card...I have no idea as of yet how I'm going to turn that into 65 cards by the beginning of December, but this is a start ;o)

Then there are these tins with a little booklet that I made for two of my colleagues, who recently became the proud parents of one gorgeous girl and one gorgeous (and miraculous) set of twins! I got the d.o.b. of the twins wrong (not my blond moment, they were born in the middle of the night so someone got muddled up :-p) but that's easily fixable :D.

That's all from me this week, I hope to have time for something other than Sassy cards and tins soon ;o). Thank you for stopping by, enjoy your day and see you soon :D!

Hugs,
Erica
